Texas Photo Shoot 2014 highlights

Here are a few highlights from David and Lana's trip to East Texas:

• It was exciting to introduce our new Heirloom Portrait technique to our Texas clients. This finish captures the essence and feel of a painting and the realism of a photograph.  Here is one of our Tyler portraits from May 2014:

Our new friends, Harley and Bridgette Hooper, hosted a "Meet and Greet" Wine and Cheese Party to welcome us  to Tyler.  During the reception,  Tyler Mayor Barbara Bass presented me with a Key to the City and a proclamation declaring May 12, 2014 David Stevenson Day in Tyler.  It was a special day I will never forget!  The reception was held at Harley's, a premier men's clothing store, and Bridgette's, an upscale fashion boutique, located at Tyler's La Piazza Shopping Center.

• One evening while watching the local news, we heard about Nacogdoches, Texas' oldest town, and decided to travel south to stroll the brick streets of days gone by.  The townspeople were incredibly hospitable!  A lady we met at the Old University Building gave suggestions of notable sites to see.  Later in the day, she happened to drive past us as we were walking downtown.  Surprisingly, she pulled over to check on us--only in small-town America!  Thanks to Bruce Partain, president/CEO of the Nacogdoches County Chamber, we attended our very first Rotary meeting.

• We had the pleasure of meeting Mayor Roger Van Horn while in Nacogdoches.  He was a good sport and allowed us to take his picture at the historic Nacogdoches Railroad Depot.

They are the center of your world

Lana and I consider it an awesome privilege to create portraits of the little ones that are the center of your world.  For over thirty years, we have captured precious images for thousands of parents and grandparents in the Boston, Naples, and East Texas areas.  We have such fond memories--it has truly been a pleasure to watch your children grow up. Many of the portraits have been proudly displayed as wall decor in some of the finest homes in the country.
