It is 7:00 in the morning as we start our beach portrait session in Naples on the gulf coast of Southwest Florida. The beaches in Naples face west, which means that in order to allow the warm natural light to illuminate our subjects we must arrive early for our beach sessions.
Our subjects this morning are a beautiful brother and sister — 4 and 6 years old walking hand in hand just steps away from the Naples Pier. Following are some of our favorite portraits from the session.
By using the light that naturally occurs around us we can create and sculpt images that lend a natural feel to what our eyes are used to seeing every day. There is a quality to natural light that is nearly impossible to duplicate in a photo studio. There is a softness to natural light that compliments children and families alike. All of our outdoor natural light photo session around the country are done either in early morning or near sunset.
